My mom would always tell me that I learned to draw before I could write. I was encouraged to draw many pictures during my childhood as I used to struggle with communicating my thoughts on paper. As a visual learner, I was able to quickly memorize all the muscles and bones, along with their functions in the human hand, by drawing a picture. Picking up a colored pencil or a paintbrush to making a picture has opened the path for my personal growth and communicating to the world.

Transitioning out of freelancing to start my dream business

It was March 6th, 2020 and the COVID19 pandemic. My client’s businesses were mandated to close as they weren’t considered essential in the state of New York. My cosmetic project requests were dwindling, and I was slowly out of work. Thankfully, I was getting medical writing offers from pharmaceutical companies, as the medical industry is needed now more than ever during the pandemic to understanding the virus and a potential vaccine. The turn-around time was weeks, giving me a lot of time to relax and reflect on what new career path I wish to take once the pandemic is over.
